A practical end-of-tenancy cleaning checklist

25 July 2026 by richadmin Leave a Comment

Moving creates enough admin without discovering missed cleaning jobs at the last minute. Work room by room and compare your tenancy agreement with the check-in inventory.

Start with the agreed standard

Check the tenancy documents and ask the landlord or agent about any uncertain items. Allow time for ovens, limescale and inside cupboards if these are included.

On the day

  • Remove belongings and rubbish first.
  • Work from high surfaces down to floors.
  • Photograph the finished condition.
  • Keep any professional-cleaning invoice.

This general guide does not override a tenancy agreement.
