Divide the shared areas
Allocate the kitchen, bathrooms, hallway and rubbish removal. Confirm whether appliances, cupboards and windows are included in the required standard.
Leave time for problems
Defrosting a freezer, dealing with limescale or arranging bulky-waste disposal can take longer than expected. Start before packing day where possible.
